SUMMER INTENSIVE CAMPS

KIDS IN SYNC
The Kids in Sync Summer Intensive Program is a three-week camp program that provides children the opportunity to improve self-regulation, motor planning, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, visual motor skills, self-help skills and cooperative play in a safe and fun small group environment.
Intensive therapy allows children to practice skills on a daily basis to promote improved function across various settings. The small group allows children to generalize skills learned in individual therapy to a dynamic social environment. Groups will have no more than 6 children and will be led by two occupational therapists.
Goals

Improve self-regulation skills in a group setting using language from the Zones of Regulation and Social Thinking programs.

Participate in movement activities to improve balance, postural control, motor planning, strength, and endurance.

Engage in arts and crafts projects and tool-based activities to improve visual perceptual skills, grasp, cutting skills, coloring/drawing skills and self-help skills.

Participate in handwriting readiness skills using the Handwriting Without Tears program in preparation for kindergarten (4-year-olds).

MOVE, SAY AND PLAY
The Move, Say and Play Summer Intensive Program is a one week camp program that focuses on the development of critical social skills for success in daily activities. Activities will center around play, conversation, crafts and games.
Participants will learn concepts from the We Thinkers program of the Social Thinking curriculum. Older children will also use the Superflex program. Groups will have no more than 6 children and will be led by two occupational therapists.
Goals

Learn, understand and demonstrate concepts from the Social Thinking program.

Increase appropriate peer interactions, turn taking and social language skills.

Follow directions to be part of the group plan

Improve spatial awareness and fine motor skills

Increase independence with problem-solving

Younger group: Eligible to enter pre-K 4 or kindergarten in Fall 2026
Older group: Eligible to enter 1st or 2nd grade in Fall 2026
Days: Monday through Friday
Times: 9:15 am - 12:15 pm

READY, SET, SCHOOL!
The Ready, Set, School! program is a one week intensive program that provides the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming school year in a fun, interactive group environment. The focus will be on preparing hands, brains, and bodies for the transition back to school. Activities will include gross motor play in the sensory motor gym, arts & crafts, handwriting activities for fine and visual motor development, and incorporation of concepts from the Zones of Regulation to prepare for classroom participation.
